Rep Looper / Rep Looper Pro

Rep Looper and Rep Looper Pro are exercise/activity timing apps. Dial up the duration of each rep (repeat activity), the pause between reps and any rest time between rep/pause sets and hit the GO button. You will get a Ready-Set-Go audio countdown for each set and a 3-2-1 audio countdown for each rep, pause and rest component. Dials are locked while you workout but press STOP at any time to dial up new times and start again.

*** EXTRA in Pro version ***
* New user interface layout.
* Select the background colour.
* Change the voice to female or male.
* Vibrate mode for sound free use.
* See activity records of app use.

The orange screenshot shows an example from Rep Looper Pro with the dials set for a rep of 45 seconds (of pushups or similar), a 10 second pause between reps, repeated 4 times. This is then followed by a 3 minute rest before looping again for another 4 rep cycles. The total time for this workout would be 13 minutes and 20 seconds.

Hospital Talk

Hospital Talk™ is an app to help hospital patients with communication difficulties to get their message across to staff and carers. It is based on the doctoral research of Dr Bronwyn Hemsley on hospital care and communication for patients with severe communication impairment. Hospital Talk is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication app as it turns an iPhone into a talking communication aid for use in hospital and long-term residential care. Hospital Talk has large buttons with pictures on three pages that have pre-recorded messages about care in hospital. Pre-recorded statements are provided with both female and male voices. The three talking pages enable people to communicate: basic care needs (Basic Needs), information needs (Info Needs), and social closeness (Social Needs). You can also use the Hospital Talk app to record your own or another person's voice for your own messages.

Hospital Talk App was designed and developed by Shamus Smith in collaboration with @BronwynHemsley, at The University of Newcastle (Australia). Content is based on the doctoral research of Dr. Hemsley funded by NHMRC, Australia (Grant #358844).
