Update History

Whenever I update this site I add a summary onto the front page. However, it's getting a bit crowded out there so I've decided to move the older updates here.

August 28 2006: Time for a bit of link maintenance. Removed all the dead links on the Shops and Links pages. Not many of the shops actually stock Buffy CCG these days and eBay may be your best bet if you are looking for cards. I have hundreds of singles and a few boxes of sealed boosters around somewhere and will put up a "for sale" page sometime in the not too distant future. If you run an online CCG/card shop and want to be added to the links page, just email me the details. Currently enjoying Buffy Season 5 on DVD and revisiting Buffy: Chaos Bleeds on my xbox. Happy days.

July 31 2006: Long time since my last update. No time for gaming these days so my Buffy CCG collection is gathering dust on a bookshelf. Still I'm enjoying Buffy Season 4 on DVD at the moment - only 17 pounds per season at Amazon on DVD these days! Got a request the other day for a scan of the back of Buffy CCG card. So here it is. Enjoy :)

March 31 2006: Time flies when you are having fun. Just had the renewal notice for "buffyccg.co.uk". I can't believe I added that domain link over 2 years ago or that the main site has been up over 4 years+ with 31,000+ visitors.

October 21 2005: Joss Whedon's Serenity - at a theatre near you now. 8.4/10 on the Internet Movie Database. Go see it and pick up the original series Firefly on DVD today. You know you want to.

December 15 2004: The official Buffy CCG site is back online. Yay. Added new players to the players page.

December 13 2004: UPDATE. Score Ent. just emailed me and as far as they are concerned the site is up and running. Weird. I still can't see it but that may be a cache problem at my end. I'll try again tomorrow.

December 13 2004: How strange? The official Buffy CCG site seems to be down. Anyone know why? Is it temporary or has Score totally given up on Buffy CCG? (Still bitter after all this time? ... you bet!). Looking at the buffyccg.com forum it seems to have been down from Saturday Dec 11th. If you have any info email me.

December 13 2004: It was bound to happen. Too much spam has been arriving at the webmaster@btvsccg.co.uk address so I'm retiring it. If you want to contact me about the site, just add a "_" between web and master, e.g. web_master@ ...... On a brighter note, the wonderful people at 34sp.com, where this site is hosted, have decided to double my disk space for free. Fantastic. As a result, I'm going to (slowly) upgrade all the card images. I had to downgrade the JPG versions for space constraints. As this is no longer a problem, look out for better card images.

July 5 2004: Recently I've been trying to complete my card collection via eBay. Only one more UR from Class of '99 and I'm done. The other day I picked up the gold foil of the WW1 Spike promo given out at the Wizard World convension 2001.

July 4 2004: More official SCORE broken links cards added to the virtual cards section including Dark Willow, "Once More With Feeling" Part 1, "Once More With Feeling" Part 2, The End, Dawn Summers, Glory, Joyce Summers, The Gentlemen, Hostile 17, Initiative Base, Lowell House, Buffy's Side Of Her Dorm Room, Kathy's Side Of Her Dorm Room, Proactive With Pep, Adam, Maggie Walsh, Riley Finn and Spike.

June 29 2004: Finally got around to adding the broken links cards to the virtual cards section. First up are the Slayer on Campus level 1s for Anya, Harmony, Kathy and Tara.

May 28 2004: Not much happening here in the way of new Buffy CCG material. Soon I'll be finalising the virtual cards section. Any day now ;). Decided I'd increase the traffic here and registered www.buffyccg.co.uk. More the merrier.

April 22 2004: Added BuffyCCG.com to the links pages.

April 21 2004: Seems a lot of buffy fans have been hit with viruses lately and my inbox is overflowing with virus infected emails. Nice. As a result I'm setting up a spam/virus filter on my mailboxes. So if you happen to want to email me (and expect a reply), just make sure that CCG is somewhere in the subject line, else it's likely to be deleted without reading.

March 25 2004: Thanks to the mighty efforts of CMO, the game FAQ is updated.

March 13 2004: Been having a bit of a clean up on the shops page. Added some new shops and validated all the current ones. If you have a shop that still stocks Buffy CCG, email me and I'll add your details.

Feb 27 2004: HHHmmm been looking through the web logs of the site (as you do) and noticed a huge jump in bandwidth traffic. Seems the google image bot has found the site and people have been merrily grabbing image links for their own sites, blogs etc. Basically this is leeching the bandwidth from this site. Although I have bandwidth to spare it does interfere with the web stats which is annoying, so I've taken steps. If you like the look of any card images, fine ... take them and host them wherever. It's not like I own the copyright to any of them. Just don't leech the bandwidth from here.

Feb 26 2004: Wow. An update. Nothing really exciting though. As there are no more sets coming out I don't have to conserve disk space so I've been adding all the images from Pergamum Prophesy to the site. No more leeching from btvsccg.com ;). So if you find any broken links email me and I'll deal with it.

June 28 2003: New UK shop (Maverix : The Vampire Store) added to the shops page.

June 14 2003: Added new virtual cards on the Virtual cards page, namely the Hero/Villain essences for GenCon UK and the mini-poster events for the International Die Young and Stay Pretty Day.

June 2 2003: Added card images on the Buffy Bucks page. New Tournament report added to the events page.

June 1 2003: Another month gone. Still a bit traumatised from the end of the game and the site hacking. Still, time for some house keeping. With the end of the game, I've updated the no show for Slayer on Campus on the cards page. Also now that there is limited set of cards, i.e. the three expansions PP, AC and Co99, I'm going to endevour to improve the quality of the card scans on the site. No more worries about server space for the SoC or Initiative cards :(

May 2 2003: Now that the horrors of April are out of the way, time to add more content. First up is a new deck on the decks page; "One Girl Army" based on Buffy Bizarro Land. Do you play regularly or just had an event and you've been snapping away with your digital camera? Then email those images to me and I'll host them for the world to see on the new Galley via the Players page. Page 1 can be found here.

April 2 2003: Well, we are back online. Seems some �$%& hacked the site and was using it to scam Ebay ids/passwords and to host fake auctions. All rather annoying and stressful. And now we learn that the Buffy CCG is to be cancelled with no new cards sets. See the news page. No "Slayer on Campus" and no "Initiative". Not a good start to April.

March 13 2003: Added new players to the worldwide players registry. Added Vendikarr's site for Buffy CCG Virtual Cards to the CCG links page.

March 1 2003: Big reshuffle on the cards page. Basically built seperate pages for each expansion. Also added the details of where to find promo cards for each expansion and added a page for Buffy Bucks.

February 15 2003: New events in the UK and USA on the events page. Added new players to the players registry and more shops.

February 11 2003: Vamp Willow deck added to the decks page.

February 9 2003: Added Hero of the Week virtual cards to the cards page.

February 8 2003: Monthly update of CMO's FAQ. Added new players to the players registry and more shops. Details of the Hero of the Week events on the news page.

February 2 2003: Finally got around to adding the contents of the Class of '99 starter decks to the cards page. Thanks to Russell for sending me the card lists for the Class of '99 Hero starter and Villan starter contents.

January 30 2003: Added several Slayer Strategies for Class of '99 cards. New online shops in the UK on the shops page. Added images of new promos .... "HH2 Snow" from Class of '99 and "P1 Defective Weapon" from the next expansion, Slayer on Campus.

January 10 2003: Well well well, here we are in 2003 and Class of '99 is out :) Finally getting around to updating the site. Hellebron has generously supplied an updated version of his Co99 Buffy deck including a strategy guide. Also added new players. Look for new stuff on the site including competitions .... coming soon.

December 9 2002: Various virtual cards added to the cards page including Villan of the Week and Double Trouble cards.

December 8 2002: Class of '99 Buffy deck on the decks page.

December 7 2002: Class of '99 in the UK this week? See the news page. Event Reports finally get their own pages.

December 6 2002: Monthly update of CMO's FAQ.

December 3 2002: No real news on the UK release of Class of '99. New players added to the worldwide player registry on the players page. New events in Germany and USA on the events page.

November 26 2002: New players added to the worldwide player registry on the players page. Two UK distributors added to the shops page.

November 23 2002: Added a Class of '99 checklist by card type to the cards page.

November 15 2002: Two new shop links added to the shops page including one selling Buffy CCG singles.

November 11 2002: More card images. This time all 10 standard promos for Class of '99 including Giles, Ripper and Xander, The Zeppo.

November 7 2002: Added HTML versions of dgjedi's card spoilers for Pergamum Prophesy, Angel's Curse and Class of '99. And yet more card images for Class of '99.

November 6 2002: A big thanks to Dave/dgjedi for collating a card spoiler for Pergamum Prophesy, Angel's Curse and Class of '99. More card images for Class of '99 added to the checklist including most of the new double-sided essence cards.

November 5 2002: The release of Class of '99 is put back one week. See the news page. More card images for Class of '99 added to the checklist. Also more events in the UK added to the events page. With Class of '99 approaching fast, the hits on this site are reaching new high levels. Have a look here to see the how November's traffic is shaping up.

November 3 2002: Well, less that two weeks till the "release" of Class of '99. Exciting times. So I've been updating the site with what Class of '99 info I can find. Today's updates are a checklist and lists of the promos and previews on the cards page. Also added the image for Class of '99 promo P3, avalible via the October consumer newsletter.

October 30 2002: Thanks to Jurgen I've just added the deck lists for the four "The Wish" theme decks. They are on the decks page and the cards page. Also news of the official release date for Class of '99 on the news page.

October 25 2002: With SCORE's update of the official Buffy CCG site, it looks like a large selection of their images have moved locations. Therefore many of the card links from this site are no longer valid. I'm in the process of updating these links and will get it sorted ASAP.

October 20 2002: Halloween and Class of '99 events added to the events page.

October 15 2002: Thanks to Greg for letting me add his excellent BTVS CCG play guide to the site. It's a one page summary of the game. It's on the resources page.

October 6 2002: CMO has been compiling a list of all the FAQ questions and answers from the Buffy CCG forums. He has generously allowed me to add them to the site. The current version is here on the renamed decks and resources page.

October 3 2002: Updates on the events (UK, Germany), players (Essex) and CCG links (Germany) pages. The full rules for Class of '99 are available online. Find the link on the news page.

September 25 2002: New players added to the worldwide player registry and links to the lists of Watchers, the official BTVS CCG Volunteers, on the players page. Contacting your local Watcher is a good first step to finding other local players.

September 20 2002: Class of '99 Faith deck on the decks page and added a link to Jurgen's partial Class of '99 cardlist on the cards page.

September 8 2002: New players added to the worldwide player registry and new shop added to the shops page.

August 31 2002: Check out the news page for new info on the upcoming expansion "Class of '99". Also as the new Class of '99 info becomes available I'll be adding it to the site. The cards page has been updated and a deck based on Xander has been added to the decks page

August 26 2002: New Buffy deck added to the decks page and new Buffy CCG site by BoosterBoy on the CCG links page.

August 21 2002: "Release" date for Class of '99 added to the cards page. Also picked up my copy of Scrye #53 today to get a copy of AC promo P5: Everyday Vamp Hijinks. Available in stores now.

August 20 2002: Well, just arrived back from my summer holiday so I'll be reguarly updating the site again. Look out for my report on my victories and sound defeats at the hands of some players in Finland. A big "hei" and thanks to Tomi, watcher in Turku, for setting up some games while I was there. Also just added some shops to the shops page.

July 19 2002: New players added to the player registry and new Buffy CCG site by Sparky on the CCG links page.

July 18 2002: News on getting non-foil ultra rares from Angel's Curse and some pre-release images of Class of'99 cards on the news page.

July 17 2002: Added a PP and AC card spoiler (PDF format) to the the strategy page and the cards page. Thanks Dave/dgjedi.

July 15 2002: News on the release of another Angel's Curse promo on the news page.

July 13 2002: Events in London and Doncaster on the events page. New players added to the player registry.

July 12 2002: Update page was getting a bit busy so I've moved the older updates to a new update history page.

July 7 2002: Added a "Event Reports" section to the Events page. If you have been to a gaming event and want to write a summary, just email them to me and I'll post them. Added link to the Buffy RPG on the buffy links page and a link to some fantasic BTVS CCG Alternate Season 6 Dream cards on the CCG links page. Added new Slayer Strategies. Added the first event report, Milwaukee GameFest, to the new Events page. Thanks Rehlow. New deck building tutorial from Reason with an Angelus fighting deck and a Willow challege deck. Hmmmm busy update day!

July 3 2002: New players added to the wolrdwide player registry.

July 2 2002: Added Slayer Strategies to the card pages via the PP and AC checklists. For example have a look at Full Moon (AC #P7).

June 30 2002: ... and the Angel's Curse checklists are all updated. All 138 AC cards are listed with images both by card rarity and type on the cards page.

June 29 2002: First New Zealand player added to the player registry. New Buffy CCG site by Jan on the CCG links page. New buffy charm deck on the decks page.

June 26 2002: Well, changes to the PP checklists on the cards page are complete. All 220 PP cards are listed with images both by card rarity and type. Next stop Angel's Curse. Also news on the next three expansions on the news page.

June 22 2002: With news of the locations of the promos for Angel's Curse (May Consumer Newsletter), I'm currently reorganising the cards page. Updating the card infomation for each set and then I'm going to start on updating all the card lists and making sure I have scans of all the cards. On a unrelated note, my plastic Angel's Curse essence cards arrived in the post today. A six week turn around time to the United Kingdom via the redemption address in the USA.

June 2 2002: Thanks to Bob for letting me add his excellent BTVS CCG gameplay flowchart to the site. It's a step-by-step flowchart of the game. It's on the strategy page and in PDF format. New Cordelia deck on the decks page. Some AC promo locations on the cards page. More Slayer Strategies.

May 27 2002: Want to see a bit of Buffy CCG history? Just uploaded more (better) images of the pre-release Halloween Buffy Bash Deck. Thanks to Dave for the scans. Interesting enough many of these prototype cards have images from Buffy season four. For example check out DA4 Vampire Embrace.

May 24 2002: First card image for Class of '99 released. See the news page. "No More Soul" on the Slayer Strategies page. New players added to the Player Registry on the players and traders page.

May 23 2002: Bit of re-juggling on the cards page. Sets now listed with the latest ones at the top of the page. Some minor info for Class of '99 added and updated promo info.

May 18 2002: Cash in those Stake points for promos and non-foil ultra rares. See the news page for more details. New Drusilla deck by Hipo and more "Slayer Strategies" on the decks and strategies page.

May 8 2002: News on international Angel's Curse essence redemption and exclusive European promo cards on the news page.

April 28 2002: Back from a week in Austin, Tx and played my first games of Buffy CCG. Fantastic. A big "Hey" to Derek, James, Scott and Brian who turned up at Dragons Lair in Austin for games. I build my first real deck for the trip. It's based on Angelus and is on the decks page. Die Young and Stay Pretty event details on the events page.

April 7 2002: With the release of Angel's Curse, new decks are appearing. Checkout Kendra and Drusilla decks on the decks page. Collation issues with AC reported on the news page.

April 2 2002: After much effort, finished and added a checklist to Angel's Curse by card type to the cards page. Cards within each card type listed alphabetically.

March 29 2002: Angel's Curse is released and hence a new burst of energy to update the site. Images of the European only promo cards and all the ten promos for Angel's Curse are added to the cards page. With the release of AC I'm going to reorganise the decks page to take into account rule changes and expansion releases. More updates coming soon.

March 17 2002: Thanks to scans from UkKnight better images of all the currently released promo cards are on the cards page. New players added to the players and traders page. Also some upcoming events added to the events page.

March 5 2002: Added link to Angel's Curse card checklist on the cards page. New players added to the players and traders page. Better promo card images (P3, P5, VDM1) for the cards page.

Feb 13 2002: Player list by region is up and running on the players and traders page. Email me if you want to be listed. Feb 4 2002: Added a Collin the Anointed One deck to the decks page.

Feb 3 2002: Watcher announcement on the news page. Added a 60 card Giles deck to the decks page. Extended the decks page to include strategy and added Haplo781's Metagame: Drusilla.

Feb 1 2002: After problems with my old ISP, I've moved the site to a new "permanent" home here. I have not tested every page/image yet so if you find any dead links/pages please email me.

Jan 29 2002: Added a new Drusilla deck to the decks page.

Jan 28 2002: I've "retired" the trading page as I've found a site that does it better than I could. Have a look via the traders page.
